Our published fee schedule
Transparent, published fees: one rate on your whole portfolio, no commissions, and every cost outside our fee listed plainly. Rubric is fee-only: we are compensated by the advisory fees our clients pay. Fees may be negotiable, and full terms are in Form ADV Part 2A, Item 5.
Personal Advisor
One rate for your whole portfolio
An annual advisory fee based on total assets under management. This is a breakpoint schedule: your whole portfolio is charged the single rate for its size, not a blend of tiers.

0.20% per quarter

$2,500 to $25,000 per year
A flat annual fee based on complexity and scope, billed quarterly in arrears by invoice.
OCIO (institutions)
Typically 0.10% to 0.50% per year
Negotiated based on mandate size, complexity, and scope, or charged as a flat or tiered annual fee.
Retirement plan (ERISA) services
Not to exceed 1% per year
Negotiated and based on the market value of included plan assets; billed quarterly or monthly, in arrears or in advance, per the plan agreement.
How billing works
- Asset-management fees are billed quarterly in arrears, based on the account value at the close of the last business day of the previous quarter.
- For Personal and Digital Advisor accounts, fees are deducted from a designated account with your prior written consent. Non-discretionary and OCIO fees are invoiced.
- Deposits, withdrawals, and accounts opened or closed mid-quarter are prorated.
- You may terminate within five business days of signing without penalty, and at any time afterward with written notice. Rubric may terminate with 30 days’ written notice. Unearned fees are refunded; earned, unpaid fees are due.
- You receive 30 days’ prior written notice of any fee increase, which must be acknowledged in writing by both parties.
Costs outside our fee
Our advisory fee does not include the following. Rubric receives no compensation from them.
- Internal expenses of mutual funds, money market funds, and ETFs, disclosed in each fund's prospectus
- Custodian transaction fees and related trading costs, including borrow costs if short selling is used
- Margin interest, if you choose to use margin
- For qualified clients in private funds, the fund's own management fees, any performance or incentive allocations, and a pro rata share of fund-level expenses
- For OCIO mandates, fees and expenses of sub-advisers, underlying managers, and private vehicles, including performance or incentive allocations
We may receive non-cash benefits, such as research and technology support, from custodians; see Form ADV Part 2A, Item 12.
What we don’t do

Account minimums and custody
We require a minimum of $50,000 to open and maintain an advisory account; this minimum may be lowered or waived. OCIO mandates generally require a minimum of $1,000,000 in assets under management.
Your assets are held at a qualified custodian, such as Charles Schwab, Interactive Brokers, or Altruist. About our custodians.
